First Look Wedding Photography Timeline

Choosing between a first look before the ceremony or to see each other the traditional way, at the time of the ceremony, can be a hard decision. It’s important to know what the schedule would look like for both before making that decision. Below, you’ll find a perfect example of a First Look Wedding Photography Timeline:

You should consider a first look for several reasons. The most important is if you are having a late ceremony and there won’t be adequate natural light to photograph 30 minutes of family formals, 30 minutes of wedding party formals and 30 minutes of bride+groom portraits. You’ll also want to consider a first look if you won’t be having a longer cocktail time or if you want to enjoy part of your cocktail hour. Lastly, if you want to have more time after the ceremony to photograph at an epic location for your portraits together, a first look before the ceremony which allows us to photograph the formal groupings before can lend us more time after to leave and photograph in a private, scenic location.
