Candace+Pablo’s summer Kansas City wedding photography collection features a small town church ceremony and reception in Blockton, Iowa. Candace’s grandmothers were the honorary flower girls. Because of that, the bride had special flower hats custom-made in New Orleans. Candace’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at the family farm. The day of the wedding, temperatures soared and so did the risk of severe thunderstorms. I loved the hints of culture that the couple incorporated. Vintage chairs from NOLA were shipped in (representing where they currently live), the drinks were Hispanic (Pablo’s heritage) and the bride’s family farm was the venue. While scouting, I found a stunning field with rolling hills and a small lake. It made for beautiful portraits of the bride and groom together.
