Tyler and Amanda planned a February Della Terra Mountain Wedding in Estes, Park Colorado. It was a chilly day with wind chills below freezing. Amanda wore a stunning deep v-neck gown and made the weather look much warmer than it actually was. Because of that, their first look was quick but sweet, outside in the meadow-y forest. We did several breaks, running inside to warm up, and having next groups run outside to be photograph. While in the planning stages, I knew the two of them loved experiences over material objects, travel and God. It wasn’t until the day-of I realized how much their faith played a role in their relationship. This is the reason why I always say I learn the most about a couple the day of the wedding. I loved hearing the stories of hardship and how Tyler supported Amanda through a grueling 8 hour hike with a broken bone. Or that they lived together with Amanda’s sister and her siblings hoped they’d marry one day. One of the most touching moments that made me tear up was right before the ceremony, when all of Amanda’s ladies gathered around her and prayed for her and their marriage. Right after, J.H. (Amanda’s father) came and spoke with her, hugging her and tearing up as they got ready to walk the aisle to Tyler. It’s those little moments that I never forget.
